Reviewing for a minute, we have visited 7 avenues through which God heals in prior posts. They are: Prayer, Declaration, Agreement, Laying on of Hands, Anointing with Oil, the Gift of Healings and the Gift of Faith.
Another avenue through which God heals is through the Gift of Miraculous Powers, as in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10,
To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom…10 to another miraculous powers,
The gift of miraculous powers is quite interesting, because it is applicable, just like the Gift of Faith, in areas other than healing. This gift was in evidence when Jesus walked on the water (Matthew 14:25) and when He broke the loaves and fish to feed the multitude (Matthew 14:19).
The gift of miraculous powers is used to bypass or circumvent natural laws such as gravity, mass, time, and place. We therefore see an instance of this in the case of the man with the shriveled hand, in Matthew 12,
9 Going on from that place, he went into their synagogue, 10 and a man with a shriveled hand was there.. . . 13 Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other.
This is a great example of the gift of miraculous powers. We see here the creation of new flesh, blood vessels, and possibly bones and cartilage from nothing. Thus it is not exactly a healing, it is what we’ve come to call, in Charismatic circles, a creative miracle. Have you seen or experienced a creative miracle? Do write and let us know.
